Overview BOINEER’s C18 Magnetic Beads are coated with high-density hydrophobic C18 alkyl groups on the surface of Silica Magnetic Beads. Depending on the size, Epoxy Magnetic Beads are available as micrometer-sized AccuBead™ (1 - 5 μm) and nanometer-sized AccuNanoBead™ (400 nm). All magnetic beads developed by BIONEER have a pure magnetite (iron(Ⅱ, Ⅱ) oxide, Fe3O4) core. Compared to other beads that use polymer cores, BIONEER’s magnetic beads have higher magnetic saturation, allowing them to be collected more quickly by a magnet. This enables faster separation and purification of target biomolecules. Additionally, BIONEER’s technology allows for more functional groups to be attached to the surface, increasing the efficiency of experiments by capturing more target biomolecules with the same volume as magnetic beads. C18 alkyl functional groups are hydrophobic carbon chains that interact with the hydrophobic region of proteins. This allows C18 Magnetic Beads to purify femtomole to picomole scale hydrophobic peptides or proteins. They can be used for purification, desalting, and concentration of low molecular weight proteins or peptides. Using the Magnetic Separation Rack (TM-1000, TM-1010, TM-1011, TM-1020, TM-1030) or other magnetic separation racks, biomolecules attached to the beads can be easily purified by magnetic force.
